The Wendy's Company has announced its plan to expand its presence in Quebec, aiming to double its restaurant footprint in 2024.

The company is on track to achieve 50 restaurants across the Canadian province by 2030, with four new franchisees and two current existing franchisees scheduled to open new outlets.

Wendy's currently operates 15 restaurants in Quebec.

The Wendy’s Company international vice-president and chief development officer Dana Calvert said: “The commitment to grow from all franchisees operating in Quebec allows Wendy’s to bring high-quality food and career opportunities to even more communities across the province.

“This is an important milestone as we expand the brand’s footprint in Quebec and continue to pave a path for entrepreneurs to grow with Wendy’s.”

Wendy's has confirmed that all franchisees in Quebec are on board to launch new restaurants by 2025, with 12 locations expected to open by the end of 2025.

Quick Serve Restaurants operates Wendy’s restaurants in Ontario, Canada.

In 2024, Wendy's franchisees have already inaugurated two new restaurants in Sherbrooke and Papineauville. The latest addition is set to open in Thetford Mines at the end of May.

The new restaurants are designed according to Wendy's global next-gen standards, which incorporate a modern aesthetic, an optimised layout and advanced technology.

With a global footprint that extends across 7,000 restaurants in 33 countries and territories, Wendy's has a presence in Asia-Pacific, Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and the US.
