The George IV, a pub in Woolwich, southeast London, has re-opened its doors after a substantial refurbishment which has revitalised the establishment and created four local jobs.

The investment has transformed the pub into a prime destination for sports enthusiasts, with the installation of three new Sky Q boxes, allowing it to broadcast multiple sports events through channels such as Sky, Sky Sports+, TNT Sports and Prime Sport.

The outdoor area has new furniture, two trough planters and an astro-turfed section for outdoor relaxation.

Darts and pool players will find three professional-standard dartboards and a revamped pool area, with free pool offered on Tuesdays.

The pub offers a selection of beers, ciders, wines and no and low alcohol options at competitive prices, and is dog-friendly.

George IV operator Sarah Linskey stated: “We are beyond thrilled to re-open our doors and welcome both new and returning guests to the new-look George IV.
