FAT Brands, the parent company of the Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express restaurant concepts, has opened its first co-branded location in Paris, France.

The new Paris store is the first of 40 locations planned across the region for the next five years.

FAT Brands CEO Andy Wiederhorn said: “With Paris being a city rich in culture, we see locals and tourists appreciating an authentic, American brand like Fatburger that has stayed true to its roots for 70 years.

“This opening is also a key milestone for Fatburger. Since acquiring the brand in 2003, we have grown Fatburger from 40 locations, primarily in California, to an award-winning, international burger concept with 200 locations across 15 states and 14 countries.”

Fatburger is a fast-casual restaurant that serves burgers. The new Paris restaurant also marks Fatburger’s 200th location.

Meanwhile, Buffalo’s Express is a fast-casual chain known for its chicken wings and proprietary wing sauces.

It has been co-branded with more than 100 Fatburger restaurants to date.

The new location in Paris offers the Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express menus, which include bone-in and boneless chicken wings accompanied by a range of original sauces.

FAT Brands noted that all its Buffalo’s Express wings will be offered with celery and carrots as well as blue cheese, ranch or honey mustard dressing.

In July, FAT Brands further expanded its Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express co-branded restaurant footprint by opening a new location in Wichita, Kansas, US.

The new location was the first of three co-branded restaurants planned for the Wichita market.
