FAT Brands, the owner of Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express as well as other restaurant concepts, has signed a deal to open ten new franchised locations in Puerto Rico.

Franchisee Conceptos Restaurants is leading the agreement to bring Buffalo’s Express and Fatburger to Puerto Rico.

Under the terms of the agreement, ten stores will be opened over the next five years.

FAT Brands chief development officer Taylor Wiederhorn said: “2022 has been a strong year of growth for Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express with new development deals in Alaska, Arkansas, Florida and now Puerto Rico, and we are only halfway through the year.

“Quick-service and fast-casual concepts continue to gain popularity in Puerto Rico, and we are thrilled to be able to make our debut on the island with a partner like Conceptos Restaurants.”

The company stated that the burgers at Fatburger can be customised with toppings that include bacon, eggs, chilli and onion rings.

Fries, onion rings made from scratch, sweet potato fries, burgers, hand-breaded crispy chicken sandwiches, turkey burgers and milkshakes are also included on the Fatburger’s menu.

The Buffalo’s Express menu offers customers a choice of boneless or bone-in wings with a range of original sauces.

The wings also come with carrots, blue cheese, celery and ranch or honey mustard dressing.

Recently, FAT Brands signed a franchise development agreement with Whole Factor to open four new co-branded stores in Tampa, Florida, US.

The new Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express Tampa locations are expected to open over the next three years.
