Canadian pizza restaurant chain Pizza Nova has expanded its presence in Toronto by opening a new location in Ontario.
Pizza Nova president Domenic Primucci opened the restaurant along with franchisees Najib Sharin and Mirwais Sharin.
The restaurant chain will offer a wide range of menu choices at the location such as specialty pizzas, gourmet toppings, garden fresh salads, wings and pollini, toasted Italian panouzzo sandwiches, panzerottis, lasagne, potato wedges and focaccia barese.
To celebrate the opening, the restaurant chain is offering small pepperoni or cheese pizzas to customers for just $2. All proceeds from these pizzas will go to support St. John the Compassionate Mission.
In addition, the pizza chain opened a new location at the 1484 Innisfil Beach Road, in Innisfil, Ontario on 23 July this year.
The original Pizza Nova opened in Scarborough, Ontario in 1963 and the first franchised store opened in 1969.
The family operated business currently operates more than 140 locations in Southern Ontario and offers online ordering for delivery or pickup.
According to the company, its menu includes items made using pepperoni, chicken, and beef that are free of antibiotics and hormones.
The company claims to be the first to introduce pepperoni made from pork and beef raised without the use of antibiotics in 2015.
In 2016, it started offering a full slate of proteins free of antibiotics, which include chicken wings, pollini, smoked ham and grilled chicken.
