American restaurant chain Popeyes has launched the Big Box value meal across participating locations in Canada for a limited period.

The Big Box includes two regular sides, a buttermilk biscuit and two pieces of the brand’s signature hand-battered, breaded chicken.

The offering caters to value-seeking customers, providing them with familiar tastes at an affordable price point.

Popeyes has also reintroduced the Strawberry Biscuit, a sweet and savoury variation of their classic biscuit which is flavoured with strawberry and topped with icing and can be added to the meal for an extra charge.

Popeyes Canada general manager Rob Manuel stated: “As the saying goes – variety is the spice of life. And that’s what makes the Big Box deal such a great option: we leave it to our guests to decide which regular sides they would like to enjoy alongside our signature chicken.

The launch follows the recent expansion of Popeyes’ chicken sandwich range in the US with the introduction of the Golden BBQ Chicken Sandwich, which includes a buttermilk-battered chicken breast with Golden BBQ sauce on a brioche bun.

In April 2024 Popeyes also unveiled two new buffalo-flavoured items in Canada: the Buffalo Crispy Chicken Wrap and the Loaded Buffalo Poutine, both available for a limited time.

The Buffalo Crispy Chicken Wrap is a twist on the Crispy Chicken Wrap introduced in July 2023.

Established in 1972 in New Orleans, US, Popeyes is known for its New Orleans-style menu featuring fried chicken, chicken tenders and fried shrimp.

The chain operates more than 4,000 restaurants in the US and internationally.
