US-based sandwich restaurant chain Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar has launched a limited-time sandwich, Polish Hill.

The restaurant chain has partnered with Mrs. T’s Pierogies, a mass market brand of pierogies, to produce the limited-time sandwich.

Polish Hill sandwich is made using two thick slices of Italian bread, kielbasa, provolone cheese, hot grilled slaw, beer mustard and tomato. However, the sandwich features Mrs. T’s pierogies instead of French fries.

Mrs. T’s Pierogies marketing director LeeAnn Smulligan said: “Having started our company only a short drive away in Shenandoah, this Pennsylvania collaboration seemed like a match made in sandwich heaven.

“We know our fans love sharing Mrs. T’s with friends and family at home, and now that they’re also available at Primanti Bros, there are so many more opportunities to enjoy pierogies.”

The Polish Hill sandwich is currently available at Primanti Bros locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Michigan through mid-August this year.

The restaurant chain currently operates 43 locations across the US including three in Pittsburgh.

Primanti Bros Pittsburgh manager Toni Haggerty said: “I don’t let them make changes to our sandwiches like this unless they’re good. Everybody in Pittsburgh knows Mrs. T’s Pierogies, and now they’ll know them on ‘The Polish Hill’ sandwich.”

Established in 1952, Mrs. T’s Pierogies manufactures and markets frozen pierogies and produces around 600 million pierogies annually.
