The Stonegate Group has announced plans to reopen The Grove pub in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, following a six-figure refurbishment.

The venue, which has been closed since November 2023 due to a fire, will reopen on 30 May 2024.

The Grove has been completely renovated, with new windows, ceilings, and an updated exterior that has brought back the pub’s historic charm, the company said.

Simon and Sharon Colgan, the couple managing The Grove, said that they are thrilled to be reopening the venue this month.

The Grove publican Simon Colgan said: “Myself and Sharon are so pleased to be re-opening The Grove to the local community once again. The space has been completely restored throughout, and looks incredible.

“It’s going to be great to get the community back together again in this popular local pub, and we can’t wait to see you all there for some real ales and good times.”

Earlier in May 2024, Stonegate also announced the reopening of The Wellington Arms pub in Ilfracombe after a £125,000 investment from Craft Union.

The community pub received a complete makeover, enhancing both its interior and exterior.

In April, Stonegate opened Golaccio, a retro football-themed sports bar in Huddersfield, following a £100,000 refurbishment.

The bar, previously known as Venn St Social, now offers an Italian-inspired sports experience with a comprehensive rebranding and refurbishment.

In March2024, the company reopened the Goose in Gravesend after a £300,000 refurbishment.

The investment improved the pub’s sports-viewing facilities, with new HD screens, three Sky boxes, a revamped sound system, and new seating to create an immersive atmosphere.
