Subway has expanded its menu in Canada with the introduction of the Chocolate Chip Footlong Cookie.

The chocolate chip-filled cookie will be served warm and will complement the company’s footlong sandwiches.

The Chocolate Chip Footlong Cookie, which made its first appearance in the US in January 2024, is now available across all Subway locations in Canada for a limited time.

Subway Canada plans to continue culinary innovation by introducing more new items in 2024.

Subway Canada marketing head Lisa Mazurkewich said: “The demand for the Footlong Cookie was so overwhelming and we wanted to deliver for our Subway fans with a limited-time menu item in Canada.”

Last month, Subway Canada launched two Caribbean-inspired menu items: the Jerk-Spiced Chicken Rice Bowl and the Jerk-Spiced Steak Rice Bowl.

The new dishes have been created in partnership with basketball team Toronto Raptors’ players Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher.

Scottie’s Jerk-Spiced Chicken Rice Bowl includes banana peppers and rotisserie-style chicken while Chris’s Jerk-Spiced Steak Rice Bowl has steak and cheese.

Both are topped with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, crispy onions and a jerk aioli, creating a balance of flavours and textures.

Subway offers made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads and bowls in 37,000 restaurants across more than 100 countries and territories every day.

Its restaurants are owned and operated by franchisees, a network that includes thousands of entrepreneurs and small business owners.
