Chicken wing chain Wingstop UK has broadened its presence in London with the opening of a new venue on Clapham High Street.

The new site has space to accommodate 60 diners. It will serve customers wings, tenders, burgers, and sides.

Clapham High Street was chosen by Wingstop UK as the location for the new location due to its substantial Gen-Z population and vibrant culinary scene.

The new outlet is expected to create 50 jobs in the area and cater to the needs of South London’s residents.

Wingstop UK master franchisee Lemon Pepper Holdings co-founder Tom Grogan said: “We are thrilled to be opening in the heart of Clapham, bringing the best-tasting wings in the business to South London’s hungry diners.

“As our UK expansion continues at pace, we’re looking forward to opening more sites, meeting a wave of demand whilst offering an authentic and customised dining experience.”

The Clapham High Street location is part of Wingstop UK’s strategy to increase its footprint in London, complementing its existing delivery units.

Other locations of the chain in London include its flagship restaurant on Shaftesbury Avenue, as well as in Islington, Dalston, Gloucester Road, Kingston, Bromley, Beckton, Hounslow, and the recently opened site in Watford.

The chain also plans to launch additional sites this year, including what will be its largest at Westfield Stratford City.

Since its UK launch in 2018, Wingstop has now grown to 44 sites.

It recently extended its exclusive delivery partnership with Deliveroo, which first began in 2018. The extended agreement ensures that Wingstop’s menu will be available solely on Deliveroo’s platform in 15 cities across the UK.
