US-based quick service restaurant (QSR) chain Zaxby's is set to open its first location in Pendleton, South Carolina.

Scheduled to open on 31 July 2023, the new Pendleton location will be owned and operated by Fowl Play SC.

Covering approximately 2,900ft², the new Zaxby’s restaurant will feature its farmhouse-style design and a double drive-through layout for faster pay and pickup.

It will also be offering dine-in service and have a seating capacity of 54.

To offer guests a better experience, the new restaurant will be equipped with a PAR POS system to provide a more seamless service.

Its menu will include the brand’s signature sandwich with fried pickles and loaded fries.

Fowl Play SC president Mike Schneidereit said: “We’re excited to add to our footprint in Anderson County and serve the growing community of Pendleton.

“Our innovative building design shows our commitment to an enhanced and quick drive-thru experience while offering guests an enjoyable dining room atmosphere.”

Schneidereit and his partner Ben Williams own three other Zaxby’s restaurants in Anderson, South Carolina.

The restaurant brand stated that it will also accept orders through the Zaxby’s app Doordash, Uber Eats, Bite Squad and Grubhub.

Last month, Zaxby’s launched its ‘Funnel Cake’ with powdered sugar and caramel dipping sauce.
