Freddy’s chief development officer and chief legal officer Andrew Thengvall said: “Freddy’s is entering an exciting phase of growth, and Rafik and Jackie are two important additions to our development team.
“Each brings a powerful combination of industry knowledge, strategic insight and proven development expertise.
“Rafik and Jackie will enhance our ability to grow thoughtfully, attract the right franchise partners and unlock new opportunities for Freddy’s.”
In his new position, Farouk will oversee efforts to expand the brand’s presence in both emerging territories and existing trade areas.
Farouk has nearly three decades of experience in restaurant operations and franchise development.
The company expects this background to support Freddy’s as it explores additional growth channels and builds on its recent entry into overseas markets.
Farouk said: “I’m excited to join the team and help advance opportunities that will broaden the brand’s reach while preserving the core qualities that make Freddy’s so compelling to franchisees and memorable for guests.”
Lobdell will concentrate on sourcing and vetting potential franchise operators as the network grows.
She has around ten years of restaurant franchise development experience, following earlier roles in advertising and marketing.
Lobdell said: “Freddy’s has built a powerful reputation highlighted by its differentiated franchise opportunity and a timeless brand story that truly resonates.”
Founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002, Freddy’s operates more than 580 locations across the US and Canada.
Last month, JRI Hospitality acquired HCI Hospitality’s restaurant operations, strengthening its position as a major franchisee of the Freddy’s brand.
