Sushi concept restaurant brand OMAKAI sushi is preparing to launch its new full-service restaurant in Aventura, Florida, in a significant transition from the location’s previous model, which was solely focused on takeout and delivery services.
Set to open on 28 September 2024, the new venue will offer an omakase experience similar to its Wynwood and Coconut Grove sites.
Located at 18831 Biscayne Boulevard in Town Center Aventura, the new venue accommodates 74 guests across its indoor and outdoor seating areas.
Its expansion leverages the success of the Aventura outlet’s takeout and delivery operations which have been serving the community with premium sushi since late 2020.
The opening of the new venue in Aventura is part of a broader growth strategy for OMAKAI sushi, which includes launching another restaurant in Doral, Florida, by the end of 2024, and a second-hand roll bar in the Downtown area.
OMAKAI sushi CEO Diego Quijada said: “After several years of serving the Aventura community with our signature Homeakase boxes for takeout and delivery, we’re thrilled to provide a full-service dining experience.”
