Cheese was found to be the most-used ingredient in QSR establishments, featuring in 26% of menu items, followed by vegetables and pork. Chicken and fruit were also significant ingredients. An analysis of menu categories reveals that pasta & pizza, soft drinks, salads & sides, meal deals and combinations and sandwiches & wraps were most popular within the QSR format.

An analysis of the annual price change between 2022 and 2023 indicates that the average menu prices in the Dominican Republic QSR channel have risen by 0.45%. Considering all channels (including QSR) the average price change was 0.7%. As on-premises dining gains momentum following the COVID-19 pandemic, the QSR segment in the Dominican Republic is expected to experience overall growth.
