Quantic POS has partnered with voice AI platform Maple to automate phone ordering for restaurants on Quantic’s point-of-sale (POS) system.

The integration is designed to help operators capture orders and enquiries that are often missed when staff are busy.

Maple founder and CEO Aidan Chau said: “Restaurant owners constantly tell us that they can’t afford to hire dedicated phone staff, but they also can’t afford to miss calls.

“By integrating our natural Voice AI with their best-in-class POS system, these locations can answer more calls, handle complex orders with modifiers and allergies, and send everything directly to the kitchen.

“The order flows directly into their existing workflow without extra tablets, duplicate entries, or friction.”

Under the integration, Maple’s AI phone agent operates around the clock to take orders, which are then automatically sent to Quantic’s platform.

The orders appear on kitchen display systems (KDS) and printed tickets in the same way as in-store transactions.

Quantic software engineering director Arnav Kaushik said: “We’re really excited about the partnership between Quantic and Maple.

“We’ve always emphasised the importance of our merchants’ success when evolving our system, and the new AI voice ordering capabilities will do exactly that.

“We’re looking forward to growing our partnership with Maple and developing even more cutting-edge solutions.”

Maple pulls menu data directly from Quantic, including items, modifiers, prices and availability, reducing the need for manual configuration and expediting deployment.

The payments are processed via Quantic’s existing infrastructure.

In addition to taking orders, Maple’s AI system can respond to calls about catering, directions, reservations, operational hours, and other common customer queries.

The integration is now available to all Quantic merchants across the US.

Last month, Maple integrated its technology with Shift4’s SkyTab POS system.
